ISM-5/10 SETTING UP

Switching on the machine

1. Turn on the automaton.

2. Set the ‘FEED GATE CONTROL’ handle to ‘0’ position

3. Fill the hopper with grain to the specified level, not less than minimal level.

4. Reset the ‘EMERGENCY STOP’ button by its turning.

5. Move the ‘POWER’ knob to ‘ON’, indicator ‘POWER’ lights up, if it is under voltage.

6. Set the ‘SPEED OF ROTATION’ knob to middle position.

7. Turn on the frequency converter power, by setting the ‘DIRECTION OF ROTATION’ switcher in the separation or reverse mode, with the indicator lights, the impeller motor starts smoothly gain speed reaching predetermined (middle) speed.

8. Turn off the machine in reverse order.

9. To clean the machine, it is necessary to switch it to reverse mode.

Operating modes settings
Preliminary cleaning mode

1. Switch on the machine as described above.

2. Fill the hopper with the material.
3. Ensure continuous supply of the material to the hopper. During operation the user must control the amount of the material in the hopper- it must be filled at least for ¾ of its volume.

4. Place the receiving trays so that it is convenient for the operator to put and remove the bags. (For example, trays for seed grain are on the front side, and forage trays are on the rear).

5. Turn the ‘Feed Gate Control’ handle to open position.

6. Adjust the “SPEED OF ROTATION” knob to the maximum possible value, so the grain (or other cleaned material) is not coming out with the light impurities through offset.

7. If the machine is equipped with Cyclone Sedimentary Chamber (CSC), make sure that all connections are sealed with the main separator.

8. Make sure the duct gate is closed. Restriction or partial overlapping of  the CSC output tray is not allowed, as this may lead to malfunction of the
separator.

9. In this mode, when the separator is properly adjusted, it is able to remove 30% – 60% of the original waste material, depending on the quality of the grain. When the machine operates in this mode, the сlean grain will go out from any trays.

Calibration mode

1. Switch on the machine.

2. Fill the hopper with the material.

3. Ensure continuous supply of the material to the hopper. During operation the user must control the amount of the material in the hopper – it must be filled at least for ¾ of its volume.

4. Place the receiving trays so that it is convenient for the operator to put and remove the bags. (For example, trays for seed grain are on the front side, and forage trays are on the rear).

5. Turn the ‘Feed Gate Control’ handle to the position 0.5: 1.

6. Adjust the ‘SPEED OF ROTATION’ knob so to receive the same proportions of clean grain in the trays from 2 nd to 4 th . If it is necessary to increase the capacity of the machine, then open the hopper flap, increase the grain feeding, simultaneously increasing the air supply.

7. Properly adjusted machine will have: stones will fall into the first tray; the heaviest and largest grain (food grain or seed grain) – to the second tray; less heavy grain (food grain or seed grain) – to the third tray; broken grains and halves – to the fourth and fifth trays, broken grains, half grains, grain damaged by insects, and all sorts of impurities (forage) – to the sixth and seventh trays.

8. If the machine is equipped with a Cyclone Sedimentary Chamber (CSC),make sure that all connections are sealed with the main separator. (Adjust the locking door in the CSC by changing the weight of the counterweights so that it is closed at operating airflow for this material.)

9. Make sure the duct gate is closed. Restriction or partial overlapping of the CSC output tray is not allowed, as this may lead to malfunction of the separator.

Please note: The capacity of the machine can be increased (the amount of grain fed into the separation chamber can be increased) until the process of cleaning / grading gets worse or until the release of grain along with used air begins.

The extent of grading quality improvement varies for different crops, so the user determines it individually.

In the calibration mode, regardless of the operator sactions, light impurities from the initial material are also carried away when it passes the separation chamber, that is, cleaning together with calibration takes place.
